Trèfle Chair
In 1939, Jean Royère created the four-lobed shape in a sinuous and fluid line embodied in the Trèfle chair. The stylised and refined motif inspired by vegetal life became an emblematic element in the decorator’s work. When placed around a table, the succession of Trèfle chairs with their curved tops, link the pieces into a single unified form, revealing a undulating line, particularly prominent in Jean Royère’s design.
