Hirondelle Wall Light

Hirondelle Wall Light

The Hirondelle wall-light appeared in 1944 in Jean Royère’s corpus of objects, highlighting his interest for biomorphic shapes, but it is in 1953 that he presented the design at the Salon des arts ménagers de Paris. Its branches are joined into a bouquet by a distinctly coloured ball, which gives the piece a graphic, playful composition.
